Universality in the Gross - Neveu model
We consider universal finite size effects in the large-N limit of the continuum Gross-Neveu model as well as in its discretized versions with Wilson and with staggered fermions. After extrapolation to zero lattice spacing the lattice results are compared to the continuum values.

Cluster variables have recently revolutionized numerical work in certain models involving fermionic variables. This novel representation of fermionic partition functions is continuing to find new applications. After describing results from a study of a two dimensional Hubbard type model that confirm a superconducting transition in the Kosterlitz-Thouless universality class, we show how a cluste...

One of the most serious principles in production theory in economic is the principle of "efficiency". Simply put, efficiency can be defined as the demand that the desired goals (outputs) are achieved with the minimum use of the available resources (inputs). In order to, distinguish the relative efficiency of organizational units with multiple inputs to produce multiple outputs, "Data Envelopmen...
متن کاملStrongly coupled lattice gauge theory with dynamical fermion mass generation in three dimensions
We investigate the critical behaviour of a three-dimensional lattice χUφ3 model in the chiral limit. The model consists of a staggered fermion field, a U(1) gauge field (with coupling parameter β) and a complex scalar field (with hopping parameter κ). Two different methods are used: 1) fits of the chiral condensate and the mass of the neutral unconfined composite fermion to an equation of state...

The chiral extension of Quantum Chromodynamics (XQCD) adds to the standard lattice action explicit pseu-doscalar meson fields for the chiral condensates. With this action, it is feasible to do simulations at the chiral limit with zero mass Goldstone modes. We review the arguments for why this is expected to be in the same universality class as the traditional action. We present preliminary resu...
